including plans if you have them.

From providing architects for design & planning permission & building regs to supplying all trades involved with your project including:

Brickwork:

We carry out all brickwork jobs from large commercial premises,new builds & extensions to garden walls & small repairs & pointing.

Groundwork:

This covers a wide range of jobs such as drainage works, fitting sceptic tanks & treatment units, laying block paving, concreting & laying foundations.

Concrete layers:

We prepare the base & lay large area’s of concrete to commercial premises & farms.

Site Joinery:

All on site roofing work including fitting roof trusses, fitting traditional cut roofs, soffits, fascias & gutters & 1st & 2nd fix joinery.

Bench joinery:

If you can’t find what you want of the shelf then we will design & make it for you including stairs, internal & external doors, window & door frames, skirting boards & moulding's. In fact if you don’t know if we can make it just ask.

Scaffolding:

We own all our own scaffold & are qualified to erect it to all health & safety requirements.

Roof tiling:

We carry out all roof tiling work & have experience in laying all the standard concrete & clay tiles as well as rosemary tiles & laying natural slates.

Window fitting:

We supply & fit all types of PVCU windows, doors & conservatories all with the usual ten year warranty.

Damp proofing:

If you need any damp proofing, tanking or timber treatment then we can do it again all supplied with up to 30 years warranty.

Plastering:

We carry out all plastering & related work including rendering & skimming, dot & dab work, dry lining, external rendering, terylening & laying screed floors.

Decorating:

Wether you like emulsion or wall paper, stain or gloss, we do it. We also do external decorating including masonry painting.

Wall & floor tiling:

We own all our own cutting equipment  for wall & floor tiling & can carry out any area you require.

Electrical & Plumbing:

If you need an electrician or plumber for your project then we can work with your regular tradesmen or if you require we can supply a local firm that we use on a regular basis.

 

 

J. Skinner Building Contractor is a small building firm based at Old Leake, near Boston in Lincolnshire.

We employ 9 people as well as using regular subcontractors when the need arises.

The business started in February 1987 with just John on his own carrying out new builds, extensions & alterations. John soon got a good reputation in the area & as more work came in started to employ more people.
